Smoke and Snow
I have always been fascinated by the idea of constructing photography, in a way treating the world around me as a canvas that I can manipulate to create my own images. The ‘manipulations’ are always temporary, a fleeting moment that only myself and any passers by will witness. The nature of these interventions from brightly coloured balls floating through a stream to wool wrapped web-like around branches, however, the intention is always the same- to treat take apart the set idea of a ‘landscape’ and create a permanent document from a temporary change. The smoke landscapes are part of an ongoing series.
