Unity Day
July 4, 2013

The last few months have been building up to something rather special- Unity Day in Leeds. It is run entirely by volunteers who want to bring the whole of the Hyde Park community together for a good old knees up each year. I am in charge of co-ordinating the children's area so hope to build on the good work from previous events. This year will feature; a bee celidh, live interactive comic book drawing, army themed obstacle course, circus skills workshops, a children's fancy dress photo booth, swing boats and an inflatable slide. Unity Gardens have once again leant their support providing bird box building and planters for families to make.
The rest of the festival will have the usual mix of band tents, skate park activities, food and craft stalls, Older Wiser Local Seniors area, performance stage, healing area and DJs.
