This series is based around Thematic Apperception Test cards. TAT cards are designed for use in psychological testing and show a series of provocative yet ambiguous images. The subject is asked to interpret the images, giving the psychologist clues as to the subjects’ personal history and attitudes. Narrative photography works similarly, asking viewers to consider a scene as a story. Their interpretation reveals information about their own experiences and opinions. No interpretation is wrong, just a version of the truth in a medium which blends truth and illusion in equal measure.
